Writing Rules
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission comprises a blinded text body in the journal template, a title page, the Turnitin/iThenticate similarity report, and the ethics form of the journal.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- For the studies conducted with animals/people in all disciplines (including social sciences), the ethical board approval must be obtained and presented in the study with the related information.
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Manuscripts are acknowledged upon receipt. Double blind peer-review is carried out as promptly as possible. The manuscript will be reviewed by at least two members of the Editorial Review Board, which may take approximately two months. However, the manuscript submitted by the Editor(s) of IJSTS will NOT be reviewed ethically. When a decision for publication or rejection is made, the senior author or author designated to receive correspondence is notified. At the time of notification, the author may be asked to make certain revisions in the manuscript, or the Editor may submit suggested revisions to the author for approval.
Conform to the style of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 6th Edition for the details that are not referred to within the template. All manuscripts must be in English.
Authors retain copyright to their work, licensing it under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License and grant the journal exclusive right of first publication with the work simultaneously and it allows others to copy and redistribute the work for non-commercial purposes, with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in IJSTS and provided that no changes were made on the article.

Each author is responsible for the content of his or her article. Articles submitted for publication are checked by the iThenticate ® (Professional Plagiarism Prevention) program. If an article contains plagiarism or self-plagiarism in more than 20% of the manuscript, it will be returned to the author for appropriate citation and correction.
